Read terms and conditions often

Published by Robin Green under Freelance Edit This

Having been writing articles for a little time now, I have learned that there is some things I would rather not do if I can help it. Did you know that by submitting your articles to some submission sites, you loss some of your rights to that article. It is true and in some cases you loss all your rights all together.

You need to make sure and read everything as far as terms and conditions before you submit anything. Keep in mind too that those terms can change at any minute, so check often for revisions. Some sites do not want to offer right up and tell you that you will loss some or all ownership of what you write, you have to read them thoroughly.

It can be really hard to get back any ownership, maybe even impossible, once you have accepted their terms and conditions. So send them out with care into the world of the Internet.
