Someone is stealing my articles
Help! I am having someone copy my articles. This is just crazy that I am having to fight for work that I did. That site gives you no way of emailing anyone about what they are doing so I tried to post a comment and am still awaiting approval (which I am sure they will not approve.)
First one I wrote on 11/12 and it showed up on this site on 11/13.
The dates alone tell you that they were stolen from me.
The next one stolen was written on 11/13 and it showed up on this site on 11/13. My link in this post does not even work right.
The last one stolen (so far) was written on 11/14 and it showed up on this site on 11/15.
We have been so busy all weekend that I have not even had time to breathe and now to come home at midnight and find this mess is just frustrating. Could anyone help me to get this stopped or something.
I bet they will try to steal this one as well. It is 1am and I am having to deal with people stealing. It could be that they subscribed to my feed, but why would it have them listed as author and no mention on me. I viewed several of there other articles that had been taken from somewhere else, but it did not display the whole article on some of them. Why mine?

Looks like they are gone - probably a legit site which got caught with thief as a contributer. If you have the problem again I try to contact the website in the first end - link to my content and tell them to take it down. If you cant find a contact page use a site such as http://whois.domaintools.com/ to find who owns the site (unless they are hiding behind privacy). Or you can lodge a DMCIA complaint by fax - I havent bothered to date because it takes too long.
Or you can turn the tables on the scrappers - make sure you have a link to your blog in the first few words of each post - that way if they stole the post and republish it you will probably get the backlink which is worth something !
Yes, it was taken down this morning. I may have gotten more upset than intended, but this affects my money (and it may not be much but it is mine. I would be upset over a penny my husband tells me.) The adding a link within the first few lines is a good idea and I will start doing just that. Thanks so much for the advice LisSowerbutts.
