Does Your Work Week End On Friday?

Published by Robin Green at 9:48 am under Freelance, Jobs, Work from home Edit This

YeeHa!! It is finally Friday and for some the work week is over. But not for everyone. My husband works from Monday to Thursday 10 hrs a day and sometimes Friday’s but he gets his weekends off or does he? I do not work outside the home and could have my weekends off if I wanted to but do I, NO I think not. A woman or man’s work is never done.

Just because someone maybe off on weekends does not mean that they are really taking that time to just sit in front off the tube or read a good book and do nothing. We as women and men always have things that need to be done week end and week out. It is a never ending cycle with what I like to call home work.

I have had people tell me I could not be tired because I do not go to work all day. Excuse me but I work hard everyday 7 days a week and so does every other stay at home or work from home parent or individual. I have been told by others when they find out I work from home that “Oh, so you are one of those workers and poor hubby has to support you” well really to get technical some work from home individuals bring home more than there spouse. OK I am just venting now, sorry all. Just make sure that if you are a woman or a man then you realize your job is never done so if someone asks you if you get weekends off tell them “I never have a day off it is 24/7 and a life long work week for me”.

–this is sad, I guess they are just unaware of the potential from working from home. there are a lot of high paying careers now who work from home, and i only wish i am one of them but no :(

the reason why i love visiting this blog is that it gives me a window of life’s opportunities outside of office work

I think that is definitely something that most people don’t get - when you work from home, you never leave work! (Well, I mean this in a general sense in that you don’t get to “go home” from work.) Because of this, it’s really hard to shut down and stop thinking about work things so you end up working - even if it’s just in thoughts - all the time.

I wish my work week ended on Fridays! On weeks that I am lucky I get to take a day off in the middle of the week but since the house is so quiet on the weekends I am able to get a lot more work done.
