Pure Motivation
As you all know my family and I go to the races every Saturday night in TR. As always they have some great drivers out there and we enjoy it every time.
Well July 26th is not a night I am going forget. A young man by the name Allen Wilson came out on the speedway that we have not seen before. He drove a blue firebird with a handicapped sign on the side ( with the wheelchair doing a wheelie ). He was number 83 and everyone was curious as to who this man was. Well the announcer received his particulars and let us fans know that #83 was a young man of 24 and a retired marine who is now paralyzed from the waist down. His car was fitted with all hand controls. As he joined his class for the race the entire crowd got to there feet and cheered this young man on. He did not win, but the crowd did not seem to mind and continued cheering him well after the race was over. He is a true inspiration and we hope he continues to come back to TR. We welcome him with all our hearts.
The winner that did win his class was actually the third place car. The 2 front men were disqualified for dirty driving. View more at http://www.trspeedway.net/ . They should be updating it soon. You can read more about this man on there forum page.
Don’t forget to read the latest freelance job postings page. There may be something you would like to do.
