As a work from home mom (who is online much of the day) I decided I needed a laptop computer but was unwilling to pay hundreds or thousands for one. I found out that buying a used laptop was just as good as a new one, so I did.
The first thing you will want to consider when buying used is does it work, how well, what os it is using and how easy will it be to upgrade if need be. Well once again I went to my local library and found the perfect book to help me with all I needed to know. It is called Do-It-Yourself Laptop Projects by: Justin Jaffe and Brian Nadel put out by C/NET. Which C/NET is also another good place online to go for just about anything you need to know about computers and such. They can help you with projects such as os, memory, hard drive, and processor upgrades. You will be surprised at what you can do at home with less than $300.00. It also shows you how to turn your laptop into a home security system as well as so much more.
With those of us trying to save money I have to say this is one of the best ways to save a great deal at one time. If you have any suggestions for good books computer wise let us all know. New freelance job postings added today on the job postings page.

As you all know my family and I go to the races every Saturday night in TR. As always they have some great drivers out there and we enjoy it every time.
Well July 26th is not a night I am going forget. A young man by the name Allen Wilson came out on the speedway that we have not seen before. He drove a blue firebird with a handicapped sign on the side ( with the wheelchair doing a wheelie ). He was number 83 and everyone was curious as to who this man was. Well the announcer received his particulars and let us fans know that #83 was a young man of 24 and a retired marine who is now paralyzed from the waist down. His car was fitted with all hand controls. As he joined his class for the race the entire crowd got to there feet and cheered this young man on. He did not win, but the crowd did not seem to mind and continued cheering him well after the race was over. He is a true inspiration and we hope he continues to come back to TR. We welcome him with all our hearts.
The winner that did win his class was actually the third place car. The 2 front men were disqualified for dirty driving. View more at http://www.trspeedway.net/ . They should be updating it soon. You can read more about this man on there forum page.

Here in the South Carolina area we have not had a lot of rain, however when it does I am prone to sleep all day. It is a mind thing I believe with rain and lazy moods.
One thing you can do to get yourself motivated is your inside lighting. Make your home bright and cheery with lots of lighting. Light has been proven to stimulate the brain and inspire mood changes in a person. You can also brighten up your home by simply opening the window curtains and letting the sun shine in.
Stretching and exercise is a important part of staying healthy and has been proven to help when depression sets in . When you begin feeling lazy, do a few stretches and move around with some music to get your blood flowing again. Take a walk in the fresh air outdoors, even take your pet. They need daily exercise as much as people do.
If you are going to take the rainy day off then grab a good book and cozy up with it or watch your favorite movie on TV. But you can also spend it with your family playing indoor board games or getting caught up with the happenings of the week.

Since having started my blog I have found that getting visitors to your site is the hard part. It takes time patience and a lot of work. If the content is good, you post daily and valuable information is on your blog they will come to see what you have to say. I visit all kinds of blog’s everyday to get others thoughts and news as to what is going on in the world. Since I learn so much from different sources, I continue to read.
I have ran across some really good directories for posting your blog in order to help promote it. I am still in the process of adding mine and wanted to share these resources with my fellow blogger. There are 3 main sites that have a list of 300 or more links for you to add your blog. ( Check your blog provider forum they may have information on which directories you do not want to use. ) I have found only a few on these list that ask you to pay to be added, but for the most part they are free to add.

These directories have several of the same links on them so you may want to pick the best blog directory to use for you and stick to that one as to not add your blog more than once to any blog site. they may take your blog out all together if your site is added more than once. Let me know how your experience is with adding your blog.
